We’re J Clayborn's Bakery & Cafe, and we’ve been a locally owned and operated bakery here in Lebanon, TN, since 1947. After 70 years in business, we're proud to say that we still use our original recipes and specialize in custom cakes. We offer all types of baked goods, breakfast foods, lunch foods, and more. We’re looking forward to partnering with Mt. Juliet, Gallatin, and Hendersonville consumers to continue to offer a premier bakery experience. Our Story

J. Clayborn's Bakery & Cafe has been a beloved part of the Lebanon, Tennessee community since 1947. With over 70 years of tradition and excellence, we’ve built a reputation for quality, flavor, and hospitality that keeps generations coming back. Originally established by the Clayborn family, the bakery was purchased by the Smith family in 2022, who proudly continue the legacy of handcrafted baked goods and timeless recipes.

At J. Clayborn's, we specialize in a wide variety of delicious offerings—from our warm, flaky pastries and fresh-baked breads to hearty breakfast plates and satisfying lunch options. Whether you're starting your day with one of our signature breakfast sandwiches or dropping in for a midday meal, we’re proud to serve food made with care, consistency, and a little hometown love.

What sets us apart is our commitment to tradition. Many of our recipes date all the way back to the 1940s, passed down and preserved for over seven decades. Met the family for breakfast and really enjoyed it! They have a great menu. I particularly enjoyed the hash brown casserole and biscuits. The country ham was great too. Our server was very kind and attentive. We ordered few things from the bakery - you have to try the apple fritter! They have fried pies, pies and cakes as well. Lunch menu looked good too with several things we would like to try when we return. I have to add - tried the donuts - best I have had in years!! So fresh!
